Release day!!!

Release day is here!!!
This will however be the last release for a while, as we are moving out in a couple of weeks, and I'm not sure when we will get Internet access again... Also this will mean that if you email me, my response time might be longer than usual.

With the important stuff out of the way,
let's check out the new images!

Eggstra Delivery for You (SN00226)
Prepping for Easter (SN00227)

Bunny and Friends (SN00237)
Spring flowers (SN00231)
Fantasy Flowers (SN00232)
Luv-U blossoms (SN00235)
Leafy Swirl (SN00234)

I have also reduced the price for ALL of the older Easter images all the way through April!
And it will be the last chance to get your hands on the ones from 2011 and 2012, as I will remove them from the shop once we get our Internet connection back. (The shop needs to go on a diet, and I'm going to purge some of the older images, starting with these.)

That was it... Except for the FREEBIE! :)
You can download it by clicking the image and choose to save the zip-file to your computer.

Feel free to match these up with the Easter freebie sentiments from last year and you are all set to go!

I sure hope that you all like these new images (and the old of course). Feel free to leave comments! :)
Have a great weekend (we are going floor shopping today...)!

First Easter project

I'm having my hands full today, editing the finishing touches on the new release. There's still some colouring to be done, some tweaking to be made...

I said I would have one last sneak peek for you today. My project is a little wanting, but I just didn't have the time to finish the box yet... But the image is in place, and that's the important bit today, right?

Sooo, I'll go back to editing, so that all of the images are ready for the release tomorrow!!! :D

Sprouting hearts

I promised you more flowers today! I would count this as flowers, the image certainly does have a flowery feel to it, but... Well, you be the judge!

Again I have made a clean and simple card, using the image as my focal point. I used the not yet released image "Sprouting hearts" and coloured it with my Copic pens. I tend to not use as much coloured cardstock these days, I mostly use brown, gray and black, but lately (perhaps it's just me getting spring feelings!) I've been going for the brightly coloured ones as well.

Tomorrow I will show you one last sneak peek before the release on Saturday! Pop by!!! :)

Framed flowers

Small cards for any occasion is something that is always good to have on hand. I sat the other day cutting a bunch new 6x6" cardbases for myself, and from the leftovers I made small note cards; just 6,5x6,5cm. These are perfect as gift tags or if you want to attach a card to some flowers... I prepped a few of them, using a lot of leftovers from my stash. This is perfect for those little bits of paper that are too big to throw away, but too small to use for a bigger project.

Here's a set that is ready to go. Simple and useful! I drew these flowers a while ago, and they will be released together with the others I showed you the other day. It's a set of four different flowers, for once pretty realistic ones; a petunia, a daffodil, a lily and a... daisylike, chamomile sort of flower...

Tomorrow will bring more flowers, although not as realistic ones... :)

Two really quick cards!

Yesterday we were going to celebrate my Father in law's birthday, and I had actually a card already made, but wasn't totally pleased with it so... What's a girl to do, but to try and make another one?

I had a couple of newly drawn images (will be released in the webshop by the end of the week!) and I couldn't decide which one I liked better, so I made cards with both of them, showed them to my hubby and let him decide. :)

This first one was the one he didn't choose...  And these images are really quick to colour, I used Copics for mine of course. For this I used YR02, 04 and 07 for the orange and YG01, 03 and 23 for the green. I also dotted some BG000 around the image for a little depth instead of shading.

I paired the new image with a sentiment ("it's your day today") from the swedish birthday sentiment set. I'm very happy with how the image just pops out of the paper with the bright orange and green!

The second one has more muted colours, but is still striking! This is the one hubby decided for, so I added the name at the top. I only used two colours for this, YG91 and YG95. I really, really like how this image turned out. You can interpret it as a leafy branch or a swirl with feathers around it... And you don't have to colour it at all really, it looks just as good in plain black and white, fresh from the printer!
For me though, the colouring is half the fun... :)

As I might have mentioned, these cards were sooo quick to make, they took me about two hours all in all (wouldn't even have taken that long had I not had a four year old to look after at the same time) and considering the amount of time spent, they look very elegant and classy.

If you like these images, they will be released this Friday or Saturday. Pop by during the week for more sneak peeks on the other images!

Never been blogged before

I found this old thing in my "haven't been blogged"-folder. :)
I had this period when I did the punch-around-the-page-thing... And I did it on almost ALL of my cards, but that's how it goes, doesn't it? You find one thing that you like, so you do it over and over and over... Until you either forget it or grow tired of it.

Looking at this though, makes me want to use my punches again, it was a while ago. :)
I used two different digis. First, the flower that I masked together using Photoshop. It's called Layered Flower 1 and you can get it in the webshop. Then I used one of the dragonflies from the Winged Things set. I printed them, fussycut and glued their bodies to the image, bending the wings to get a little 3D-effect.

For the colouring I used Copics as always, probably the V91, V93 and V95 for the flowers and wings (it was a long time ago, but I think it was these). I have no idea about the leaves, but the body of the dragonflies and the shading was definitly done using the warm gray range.

On the back of the card I added a place to leave a message. This card doesn't open, it's just twosided like a postcard. I drew another little dragonfly by hand, a little smaller than the ones I printed.
Hmm, maybe I should do some cards like these again, they do turn out quite pretty... :)

Have a nice weekend everyone, and next week I'll show you some of the new stuff I've been working on...!

Hedda and Hootie

How are you all doing? We are finally all well here! The boys in the house have gotten over their flu and I have just about stopped snivelling and coughing! So all is back to normal. Now, if I could just convince the baby to stop it's stretching excercises (it simultaneously bumps my ribs and pokes my bladder)... Feeling the baby moving about in there has it's charm, sort of homely and alien at the same time, but some of it's moves I could do without.

Moving on to todays inspiration! I used another one of the Fairies - Hedda and Hootie (SN00225). This is the first time I have had the time and stamina to make something with every one of the images from a new release! This is the last one I have to show you.

I coloured using mossy greens and browns and perhaps it gave the card a sort of autumny feel about it. The flowers I chose has also that dusty pink and dark purple hues that would go well for late summer or early autumn...

Again I used the waxed string for the charms, and I put a metal corner in there underneath the flowers in the corner.

A couple of years ago I did this challenge, where one was supposed to make 100 projects before beeing allowed to shop for more scrapbooking stuff (doublesided tape and card bases and stuff like that was buy on a need basis though). I have collected so much stuff so I've decided to give it a go again. I'm counting all of the craft projects made this year, and sofar I'm up to seventeen (not including beadwork and knitting/crocheting)... Not bad at all... No, actually I can add another fifteen, I forgot the wedding invitations I made for a friend! So thirtytwo all in all... If I keep going at this rate, I can shop again in no time at all! (Not very likely that I can keep this up though, considering we're moving in a month and then the baby is due shortly after that... )

I hope that you all have a nice week and I'll see you soon again! :)
